To play music, you can either double-click on your music file or, alternatively, import your music into your library. To do the latter, choose \menu{File\then Add Music\ldots} or press \keystroke{Ctrl+O} on your keyboard to import a folder containing audio files. You can use the dropdown box to select the folder where your music resides or click the \menu{Other\ldots} option to find an alternate folder.

The Rhythmbox toolbar contains most of the controls that you will use for browsing and playing your music. If you want to play a song, double-click a track; or click it and press the \button{Play} button on the toolbar, choose \menu{Control \then Play} from the menu bar, or press \keystroke{Ctrl+Space}. When a song is playing, the \button{Play} button will become a \button{Pause} button. Use this button, \menu{Control \then Play}, or \keystroke{Ctrl+Space} to toggle between playing and pausing the track. \button{Next} and \button{Previous} buttons are next to the Play/Pause button. Click on these buttons to play the next and previous songs in your library or playlist.

When you insert an audio \acronym{CD} in the computer, Ubuntu should open the \window{You have just inserted an Audio \acronym{CD}. Choose what application to launch.} window. Make sure that \dropdown{Rhythmbox} is chosen in the drop-down list and then click \button{OK}. The \window{Rhythmbox} window will open. You can also choose to always perform the action you just specified when another Video \acronym{DVD} is inserted.
