None of the other platform \acronym{IM} clients have Linux versions. However, you can use \application{Pidgin}, \application{Empathy}, or \application{Kopete} to communicate over most protocols including: \acronym{AIM}, \acronym{MSN}, Google Talk (Jabber/\acronym{XMPP}), Facebook, Yahoo!, and \acronym{ICQ}. This means you need only one client to communicate with all of your friends. The drawback is that some of these clients have limited video support.
