If you do not have a working Internet connection, updates and programs can be installed from the installation media itself by inserting your media and clicking the box under ``Installable from \acronym{CD-ROM/DVD}.'' Once this box is checked, the media within the \acronym{CD-ROM/DVD} drive will function as an online repository, and the software on the media will be installable from the \application{Ubuntu Software Center}.
