These are online repositories used to host the latest versions of software packages, digital projects, and other applications.} Ubuntu makes it easy to add additional, third-party repositories to your list of software sources. The most common repositories added to Ubuntu are called \acronym{PPA}s. These allow you to install software packages that are not available in the official repositories, and automatically be notified whenever updates for these packages are available.
