Using this package manager is very simple once you understand the basics behind it. Ideally, you will mark different actions to perform on different packages first, and then apply your changes. When you click the \button{Apply} button, the \application{Synaptic Package Manager} will do each of your marked actions, one by one. Then you will be free to close the program, or wait until the process is complete to make more changes.
