<application>Wine</application> is an open source implementation of the <trademark>Windows</trademark> API that runs on top of the X windows system. Like GNU, <acronym>Wine</acronym> is a recursive acronym which stands for Wine Is Not an Emulator. <application>Wine</application> works with some of the games for <trademark>Windows</trademark>, but not all of them. To find out which games you can run with <application>Wine</application>, refer to their website at <ulink url="http://www.winehq.com/"/>. The application database stores all of the <trademark>Windows</trademark> titles that you can run with <application>Wine</application> and can be searched by going to <ulink url="http://appdb.winehq.org/"/>.
