When you put a blank (recordable) CD in the drive, Ubuntu will ask if you want to make an audio or data CD. Clicking on <guibutton>Make Audio CD</guibutton> will open the <application>Brasero</application><guilabel>New audio disc project</guilabel> window. Alternatively, you can launch <application>Brasero</application> by pressing <menuchoice><guimenu>Applications</guimenu><guimenuitem>Sound &amp; Video</guimenuitem><guimenuitem>Brasero Disc Burning</guimenuitem></menuchoice>, but you will need to click on the <guibutton>Audio project</guibutton> button to begin creating your audio CD.

To add music to your audio CD, either drag music from your File Browser or press the <guibutton>Add</guibutton> button. Alternatively, if you have not yet selected any files, the frame to the right of the window will offer other file selection choices.

You will also need to select the size of the CD which you inserted (74, 80, 90, or 100 minutes), which can be done by clicking on the CD icon located below the frame on the right. Brasero will warn you if you exceed the set limit.
