The <command>cp</command> command makes a copy of a file. For example, type: <screen>cp foo bar</screen> to make an exact copy of <filename>foo</filename> and name it <filename>bar</filename>. <filename>foo</filename> will be unchanged.
Der Befehl <command>cp</command> erzeugt eine Kopie einer Datei. Beispielsweise kopiert die Eingabe: <screen>cp foo bar</screen> die Datei <filename>foo</filename> in die neue Datei <filename>bar</filename>. Die Datei <filename>foo</filename> wird bei diesem Vorgang nicht verändert.
