<h2>Collections</h2>
<p>A collection is a set of pages that are linked to one another and have the
same access permissions. You can create as many collections as you like, but a page cannot appear in more than one collection.</p>
<p>You can create a collection from scratch or copy an existing one - either
one of your own or one from somebody else that is copyable to you.</p>

<p>If you set a parent authority, people will be able to log in using that authority and log in via Moodle.</p>
<p>For example, you could set up LDAP and have that be the parent of this authentication method. That means that people will be able to log in via Mahara's built-in login form using their LDAP credentials, and they can also log in via Moodle and get into the same account.</p>
<p>You do not have to set a parent authority. If you do not, people will only be able to log in via Moodle.</p>

<h1>Profile pictures</h1>
<p>
The profile pictures area allows you to upload pictures that will appear
beside your name in many places in the system.
</p>
<p>
You may have up to five pictures in your profile pictures area at once.
Pictures you upload must be at least 16x16 pixels and no greater than
1024x1024 pixels. The images you upload count towards your file quota.
</p>
<p>
Your default profile picture will be shown to other people beside your name
around the site, and you may use the other images in the pages you create.
</p>
<p>
<strong>Note:</strong> All of your profile pictures (not just the default one)
can be accessed by other logged-in people. Delete them if you do not want
others to see them.

L'area delle immagini di profilo ti permette di caricare le immagini che appaiono vicino
al tuo nome in molte parti del sistema.

Puoi avere fino a 5 immagini allo stesso tempo nella tua area delle immagini di profilo. Le immagini che
carichi devono essere di almeno 16x16 pixel e non più di 1024x1024 pixel.
Le immagini che carichi contano come quota di file che puoi caricare.

La tua icona predefinita verrà mostrata ad altre peronse vicino al tuo nome all'interno del
sito, e potrai usare le altre immagini nelle pagine che crei.

<strong>Nota:</strong> Tutte le tue immagini di profilo (non solo quella predefinita)

<h1>Tags</h1>
<p>You can add tags to artefacts, pages and collections you create. Tags are
descriptive labels that allow you to find your content later on more easily.</p>
<p>You can add a tag by typing a letter into the search box. If you already have
tags that contain this letter, they will be displayed, and you can select one
or more to use. If you don't have any tags, finish typing your term and hit
the "Enter" key to add your tag into the search box.</p>
<p>You can delete a tag by clicking the little <strong>"x"</strong> to the left of the tag.</p>
<p>If you use the tag "profile", your tagged item will be displayed in your profile
sideblock as shortcut to the item.</p>

<p>Puoi aggiungere un tag digitando una lettera nella casella di ricerca. Se hai già
dei tag che contengono questa lettera, saranno mostrati e potrai selezionarne uno
o più da usare. Se non hai nessun tag, finisci di digitare la parola e clicca
sul tasto "Enter" per aggiungereil tag nella casella di ricerca.</p>
<p>Puoi eliminare un tag cliccando la piccola <b>"x"</b> alla sinistra del tag.</p>
<p>Se usi il tag "profilo", gli elementi che hai taggato appariranno nel tuo blocco
laterale del profilo, come scorciatoia verso l'elemento.</p>

<h1>Resize large images on upload</h1>
<p>If enabled, any images which are larger than the height and width specified will be resized to fit the size limit.</p>
<p>This is highly recommended for images intended for normal display in a web browser. Very large images (e.g. straight from a digital camera) are slow to load in the browser and take up disk space unnecessarily, quickly using up your quota.
There is also no loss in quality when viewing on a typical monitor.</p>
<p>However, you may wish to upload the original <strong>without</strong> resizing if you are sharing an image for printing.</p>
<p>You can choose the default setting for this option on your Settings page.</p>

<h3>Ridimensiona le immagini di grandi dimensioni quando vengono caricate</h3>
<p>Se abilitato, le immagini che sono più grandi in altezza ed in larghezza rispetto alle dimensioni specificate, saranno ridimensionate per essere adattate alle dimensioni consentite. </p>
<p>Questa opzione è fortemente raccomandata per le immagini destinate alla normale visualizzazione nel browser. Le immagini molto grandi (ad esempio, prese direttamente da una fotocamera digitale) si caricano molto lentamente nel browser ed occupano inutilmente lo spazio sul disco, utilizzando rapidamente la vostra quota.
Non c'è perdita di qualità durante la visualizzazione in un monitor standard.</p>
<p>Tuttavia, si potrebbe desiderare di caricare l'originale <strong>senza</strong> ridimensionarlo se si sta condividendo l'immagine per stamparla.</p>
<p>Per questa opzione puoi selezionare le impostazioni di default nella tua pagina di impostazioni.</p>

<p>You can add multiple tags to limit the results as well as indicate which tags you want to ignore.</p>

<h1>Create a plan</h1>
<p>In your personal area, you can create plans for yourself and set up templates for assignment plans.</p>
<p>Your <strong>personal plans</strong> can be todo lists for any sort of activities you would like to track.</p>
<p>Your <strong>template plans</strong> help you set up assignment plans for learners that you can use in groups as starting point.</p>
<p>Template plans typically contain explicit tasks for learners to complete. You can associate a template portfolio with each task making it easy for learners to copy these into their personal portfolio areas.</p>
<p>When you set up a <strong>group plan</strong>, you can decide whether to use one of your template plans as starting point or whether to set up a plan from scratch. You can set up assignment plans directly in a group as well.</p>

<p>You could use the functionality to:</p>

<li>set yourself individual goals for a large task.</li>
<li>manage your personal learning activities and keep an eye on how many you have already accomplished during the time frame that you have set yourself.</li>
<li>keep track of workshops you have attended for your professional development over time.</li>
</ul>
<p>You can set up template plans in your personal account. You can then use them when you want to create plans for groups of learners in multiple groups.</p>
<p>Learners can copy plans that contain assignments into their own accounts to complete these assignments.</p>
