module for tieing iCal files to Perl hashes
Summary
(no translation yet)
Located in Package: libtie-ical-perl
46627.
Tie::iCal represents an RFC2445 iCalendar file as a Perl hash. Each key in the hash represents an iCalendar component like VEVENT, VTODO or VJOURNAL. Each component in the file must have a unique UID property as specified in the RFC 2445. A file containing non-unique UIDs can be converted to have only unique UIDs (see samples/uniquify.pl).
Description

The module makes very little effort in understanding what each iCalendar property means and concentrates on the format of the iCalendar file only.
Description
Le module fait très peu d'efforts pour comprendre ce que signifie chaque propriété iCalendar et se concentre seulement sur le format du fichier iCalendar.

tied interface to persistent file
Summary

Located in Package: libtie-persistent-perl

Tie::Persistent makes working with persistent data real easy by using the tie interface. It works by storing data contained in a variable into a file (not unlike a database). The primary advantage is speed, as the whole datastructure is kept in memory (which is also a limitation), and, of course, that you can use arbitrary data structures inside the variable (unlike DB_File). Note that it is most useful if the data structure fits into memory.

Tie::RefHash subclass with weakened references in the keys
Summary
(no translation yet)
Located in Package: libtie-refhash-weak-perl
46632.
Tie::RefHash can be used to access hashes by reference. This is useful when you index by object, for example.

The problem with Tie::RefHash, and cross indexing, is that sometimes the index should not contain strong references to the objecs. The internal structures of Tie::RefHash contain strong references to the key, and provide no convenient means to make those references weak.

This subclass of Tie::RefHash has weak keys, instead of strong ones. The values are left unaltered, and you'll have to make sure there are no strong references there yourself.
