There are two options for making the startup disk. Select <guibutton>Stored in reserved extra space</guibutton> if the <abbrev>USB</abbrev> flash drive will be used to run the <trademark>Kubuntu</trademark> desktop live. Use the slider to select the amount of storage space. The other option, <guibutton>Discarded on shutdown, unless you save them elsewhere</guibutton>, will not store data on the device. Use this selection if the <abbrev>USB</abbrev> flash drive is only for installing the <trademark>Kubuntu</trademark> desktop.
