When checked, this has the same effect as Data ->Merge Cells. You need to have at least two consecutive cells selected. Those consecutive cells are then merged into a bigger one.
When a merged cell is selected and when you uncheck this, then all cells come back to their original size as before the merging. It has the same effect as Data -> Dissociate Cells. |
