If 3D drivers for your graphics card are properly installed and running, then Xfce's window manager will let you turn on these effects. To enable these effects, navigate to <menuchoice><guimenu>Applications</guimenu><guisubmenu>Settings</guisubmenu><guimenuitem>Window Manager Tweaks</guimenuitem></menuchoice>, and - provided the hardware acceleration was properly detected - you will see a tab called <guibutton>Compositor</guibutton>. Inside this tab, you will find an option to enable the desktop effects, and many other options to customize their behaviour. Your screen may flicker briefly while the effects are being enabled.

Se os controladores 3D para a súa tarxeta gráfica están correctamente instalados e funcionan, o xestor de fiestras de Xfce permitiralle activalos. Para activar os efectos, vaia a <menuchoice><guimenu>Aplicacións</guimenu><guisubmenu>Axustes</guisubmenu><guimenuitem>Axustes do xestor de fiestras</guimenuitem></menuchoice>, e -sendo a aceleración hardware correctamente detectada- poderá ver un separador chamado <guibutton>Compositor</guibutton>. Dentro deste separador pode atopar a opción habilitar os efectos do escritorio e moitas outras opcións para persoalizar o seu comportamento. A súa pantalla pode piscar uns instantes mentres os efectos se activan.
