Open Office Writer, or Word Processor, is a fully featured word processor that can create simple or complex documents. Writer can open most Microsoft Word documents and can save in the .doc format. OpenOffice.org Writer can be launched by going to <menuchoice><guimenu>KMenu</guimenu><guisubmenu>Office</guisubmenu><guimenuitem>OpenOffice.org Writer - Word Processor</guimenuitem></menuchoice>.
OpenOffice Writer (lub Edytor tekstu) jest w pełni wartościowym edytorem tekstu, użytecznym zarówno w tworzeniu prostych, jak i skomplikowanych dokumentów. Writer potrafi otworzyć większość dokumentów Microsoft Word, a także zapisywać do formatu .doc. OpenOffice.org Writer można uruchomić, wybierając <menuchoice><guimenu>Menu KDE</guimenu><guisubmenu>Biuro</guisubmenu><guimenuitem>Edytor tekstu OpenOffice.org</guimenuitem></menuchoice>.
