Anything outside the OS/2 WinAscent &
WinDescent fields will be clipped by windows.
This includes marks, etc. that have been repositioned by GPOS.
(The descent field is usually positive.)
If the "[] Is Offset" checkbox is clear then
any number you enter will be the value used in OS/2.
If set then any number you enter will be added to the
font's bounds. You should leave this
field 0 and check "[*] Is Offset" in most cases.

Note: WinDescent is a POSITIVE number for
things below the baseline
