When you access Audacity for the first time, it will ask you to select a language to use with the application. Apart from English, Audacity provides language support for more than 30 languages, including Arabic, Bulgarian, catalan, Czech, Danish, Finnish and many more. You can now start editing an existing audio file in Audacity. To do so, you need to first import the audio file into Audacity. To import an audio file, on the <emphasis role="strong">File</emphasis> menu, point to <emphasis role="strong">Import</emphasis> and then select <emphasis role="strong">Audio</emphasis>. The <emphasis role="strong">Select one or more audio files</emphasis> dialogue box opens.
