<p>You can search for groups and get basic information about them. If a group administrator decided to hide a group, you will not be able to see it unless you have been invited to it.</p>
<p>This page can list the groups you are related to in some way.</p>
<p>You can see the groups you own or are a member of, as well as groups you have been invited to or have asked to join.</p>
<p>When in a group, you can share your own portfolio pages with the other members and participate in group activities such as discussion forums.</p>

<h3>Import a portfolio</h3>
<p>You can import your (or any valid Leap2A) portfolio from another Mahara site yourself.</p>
<p>During the import process, you will be asked what you want to do with content that is in your import file. You can decide whether you want to add it to your account or whether you want to ignore it.</p>
<p>You can only import a Leap2A file, but not an HTML file. If you want to import content from another Mahara site, go there and export your portfolio as Leap2A file. You do not have to export your entire portfolio, but you can choose which pages or collections and thus the artefacts contained on them you wish to export.</p>

<h3>Create a skin</h3>
<p>
You can design your own skin and give it a background,
choose your text and link colours and fonts,
change the look of your tables and buttons.
If you know CSS, you can also add your own custom CSS for more flexibility.

Go through the various options on the screen and make changes.
You can then easily apply the skin that you created to a page to check it out.

If you want to share your skin, choose to make it public under "Skin access".
Then others can apply your skin to their pages as well.

You can add backgrounds, change text colours, fonts, buttons, and even add your own custom CSS.

you will see them here on this page. You can favourite skins from others so that
you can use them on your own pages.</p> <p>You can also import skins from
other Mahara instances or export your skins to share with others.

<p>This page lets you search for people to add as friends or simply to find
their profile page. Depending on their friendship control settings, you may
be automatically accepted as their friend or you may need to send a
friendship request. Some people may not allow friendship requests at all.</p>
<p>When sending a friendship request, you can choose to include a short message
introducing yourself. This is especially important if you have a display name
set as others will not see your real name.</p>
<p>You can also see a list of your current and pending friends.</p>
<p>A person can resubmit a friendship request to you, even if you have previously rejected their request.</p>

<p>A page contains a selection of artefacts which you arrange and present to
others. These may include:</p>

<li>selected files</li>
<li>résumé details</li>
<li>text (your added commentary, instructions or descriptions)</li>
<li>journal posts</li>
<li>video and audio files</li>
<li>RSS feed to an external blog</li>
<li>etc.</li>

<p>You can re-use the artefacts that you collected under "Content" in as many pages as you wish.</p>
<h4>Collections</h4>
<p>A collection is a set of pages that are linked to one another and have the
same access permissions. You can create as many collections as you like, but a page cannot appear in more than one collection.</p>
<p>You can create a collection from scratch or copy an existing one - either
one of your own or one from somebody else that is copyable to you.</p>

<h3>Edit layout</h3>
<p>The layout editor is very flexible and allows you to design your layout not only in columns but also in rows. You can decide how many columns each row shall have and also decide how each row shall differ. Currently, you are limited to 5 rows.</p>
