The <guilabel>Settings and help</guilabel> pane features the following:

<guilabel>Repo URL</guilabel>

A <literal>URL</literal> pointing to an Epidermis repository of pigments. By default, this is:

<literal>http://downloads.tuxfamily.org/epidermis/ghns/downloads.xml</literal>

<guilabel>Ability to undo an accidental closure of the program.</guilabel>

When you close <application>Epidermis</application>, a small window will appear, giving you the opportunity the undo the closure for a few seconds. Unchecking this box will disable this feature.

<guibutton>Help</guibutton>

Displays help document.

<guibutton>Launch Creator</guibutton>

Launches <application>Epidermis Creator</application> which is an easy to use pigment creator.

<guibutton>About</guibutton>

Launches an about window dialog, with information about <application>Epidermis</application> and its authors. Includes the text of the license and the list of translators for your language.

epidermis - manage the look and feel of your GNOME desktop using pigments

DESCRIPTION

Epidermis changes the appearance of your Ubuntu GNOME desktop in all its aspects in one click. Epidermis 'skins' change the appearance of your desktop wallpaper, Metacity windows border theme, your GTK controls theme, your icon theme, your mouse cursor theme, your GRUB bootsplash screen, your GDM login screen theme and your Xsplash boot splash image.

Each of these customisations are downloaded in 'pigments' which are available from an Epidermis 'repository'.

Epidermis was written in python with pygtk.

Please note that Epidermis does not currently support GDM pigments on systems where Xsplash is installed.

If [pigment files] were specified in the command line, Epidermis will attempt to open and install them.

OPTIONS

Launch Epidermis Creator instead of Epidermis. Epidermis Creator is a simple utility for making pigments.

Print additional debug information when running Epidermis or Epidermis Creator.
