Bomstrip is a very simple tool that removes BOM's (byte-order-marks) from UTF-8 files. UTF-8 does not have byte-ordering issues, so there is absolutely no need to have three bytes (the UTF-8-BOM) that do not say anything about the byte-order (since there is nothing to say).

Bomstrip est un outil très simple qui supprime les indicateurs d'ordre des octets (BOM −[nbsp]«[nbsp]byte-order-marks[nbsp]») des fichiers UTF-8. UTF-8 n'a pas de problème d'ordre des octets, donc il n'est absolument pas nécessaire d'avoir trois octets (le BOM UTF-8) ne disant rien au sujet de l'ordre des octets (puisqu'il n'y a rien à dire).
