Catch system calls by their names and/or numbers. Arguments say which system calls to catch. If no arguments are given, every system call will be caught. Arguments, if given, should be one or more system call names (if your system supports that), or system call numbers.

This is the maximum number of characters GDB will ignore when trying to synchronize with the remote system. A value of -1 means that there is no limit. (Note that these characters are printed out even though they are ignored.)

Use "on" to enable, "off" to disable. If enabled, the debug registers values are shown when GDB inserts or removes a hardware breakpoint or watchpoint, and when the inferior triggers a breakpoint or watchpoint.

Enable or disable an optimization trusting PAD types over XVS types

Show whether an optimization trusting PAD types over XVS types is activated

This is related to the encoding used by the GNAT compiler. The debugger should normally trust the contents of PAD types, but certain older versions of GNAT have a bug that sometimes causes the information in the PAD type to be incorrect. Turning this setting "off" allows the debugger to work around this bug. It is always safe to turn this option "off", but this incurs a slight performance penalty, so it is recommended to NOT change this option to "off" unless necessary.
