Click Test to cycle through the detected video modes for your system.

Disconnect any external microphones that you have plugged in. Click the Test button, then speak into your internal microphone. After a few seconds, your speech will be played back to you.

Insert a DVD. Then click Test to play the DVD in Totem.

Click the Test button to display a video test.

Connect a USB audio device to your system. Then open the volume control application by left-clicking on the speaker icon in the panel and selecting "Sound Preferences". Select the "Input" tab and choose your USB device. Select the "Output" tab and choose your USB device. When you are done, click the Test button, then speak into the microphone. Monitor power saving verification procedure: 1.- Select Test to try the power saving capabilities of your monitor 2.- The monitor should go blank 3.- Press any key or move the mouse to recover

Click the Test button to open a text area where to type keys on your keyboard.

Dead pixel check procedure: 1.- Select Test to display a single color in full screen mode 2.- Check that all pixels are the same color 3.- Press any key and repeat the check for another color (red, green, blue, white and black)
