An addition to Kubuntu 8.04 is the <application>HP Device Manager</application> which eases the configuration of <acronym>HP</acronym> Multifunction Devices (<acronym>MFD</acronym>s), printers that function as copiers and scanners, as well as other <acronym>HP</acronym> printers. It is recommended that if you have a direct connection via <acronym>USB</acronym>, <acronym>LPT</acronym> (parallel port), or network (direct connection or JetDirect) that you use this application.
