Bug Description
Trying to open any window in Matlab7 causes the whole application to crash. It is probably matlab's fault, as it is an 'old beast' using lots of depreceated APIs. The error I got is:
MATLAB: xcb_xlib.c:41: xcb_xlib_lock: Assertion `!c->xlib.lock' failed.
Aborted
Temporary fix is to revert to pre-XCB libX11.

You're right the problem comes from mathlab, see http:// people. debian. org/~terpstra/ message/ 20061127. 041128. 8a08d75f. en.html
Since mathlab is not in ubuntu, I will reject this bug. Please report it upstream, thanks
