In some rare situations, it is useful for the staff to be able to add members to the site themselves, without having to log out, join the normal way, and then log back in as staff.\nAn interface is provided to add a new member to the site, with support for detailing the full set of profile options, including ones not available normally during joining, and ones not available for members to set themselves.\n\nThe most common situations where it is convenient to pre-join a member are:\n - if you want to add a member to the site before directing them to it, so that you don't have to make them go through the process themselves, or so that you can properly control or quickly set all their details, such as username and usergroup.\n - if you want to add a member to the site before directing them to it, so that you can assign things to them before they reach the site (such as points).\n - if the member encountered a problem during the joining process, possibly due to a difficulty with the image confirmation code (some Internet service providers do not properly assign IP addresses to users that are stable for any significant length of time, such as AOL: this can cause problems with the storage and later retrieval/processing of the image confirmation code)

In sommige zeldzame situaties is het nuttig voor de beheerder(s) om leden zelf te kunnen toevoegen aan de site, zonder te moeten uitloggen, op de normale manier zich in te schrijven, en dan weer als beheerder(s) in te loggen.\nEen interface is aanwezig om een nieuw lid aan de site toe te voegen, met ondersteuning voor het gedetailleerd opgeven van de volledige set profielopties, met inbegrip van opties die normaal niet bij het inschrijven beschikbaar zijn, en opties die niet door leden zelf ingesteld kunnen worden:\n - als je iemand als lid aan de site wilt toevoegen voordat je hem op de site attendeert, zodat ze niet zelf het inschrijvingsproces hoeven te doorlopen, of zodat je goed kan zien en snel kunt instellen wat hun details zijn, zoals gebruikersnaam en gebruikersgroep.\n - als je iemand als lid aan de site wilt toevoegen voordat je hem op de site attendeert, zodat je dingen kunt toewijzen voordat ze de site bezoeken (zoals punten).\n - als het lid een probleem ondervond bij het inschrijvingsproces, mogelijk door een moeilijkheid met de bevestigingscode-afbeelding (sommige internet serviceproviders kennen gebruikers niet op de juiste wijze IP adressen toe die gedurende enige periode van betekenis stabiel zijn, zoals AOL: dit kan zorgen voor problemen met de opslag en later het weer terughalen/verwerken van de bevestigingscode-afbeelding.
