The regular Mahara search is limited to finding users and in certain places titles, descriptions and tags of pages or collections. However, Mahara can be extended to allow for fulltext search capabilities. The Mahara core project team chose to use `Elasticsearch <http://www.elasticsearch.org/>`_. This is a powerful and extensible fulltext search engine.

Mahara peut se voir ajouter d'autres moteurs de recherche permettant de trouver de l'information dans n'importe quel contenu. Le groupe de développement de Mahara a choisi d'interface Mahara avec `Elasticsearch <http://www.elasticsearch.org/>`_. Il s'agit d'un outil de recherche performant est complétement modulaire et paramétrable.
