Mahara can administer users fully internally by creating accounts manually of by CSV file. If user account data is stored in external applications, e.g. an LDAP directory, a SimpleSAML identity provider or Moodle, users can use their usual logins and passwords to connect to Mahara. The :ref:`authentication methods <edit_institution>` used in an institution are managed in the institution settings byt the site administrator.
MaharaではCSVファイルから手動でアカウントを作成することで内部で完全にユーザを管理できます。ユーザアカウントデータが外部アプリケーションに格納されている場合、LDAPディレクトリ、SimpleSAMLアイデンティティプロバイダまたはMoodleの場合、ユーザは通常のログインとパスワードを使用してMaharaに接続できます。インスティテューションで使用される :ref:`認証方法 <edit_institution>` はサイト管理者がインスティテューション設定で管理します。
