The accounts tab is where you manage your user accounts at Cloud providers. You can set up several accounts at one or multiple providers. Setup a new account by activating "Add". In the Account dialog you can select your Povider (make sure you pick the regional branch if it applies, such as "Rackspace UK" if you have a European Rackspace account.) Then enter your username and password. For example, in Amazon AWS, the username is called
Access ID
and the password is called
Secret Access Key
.

Note that your accounts' passwords are stored as clear text. To increase security you may want to encrypt your home folder. For more on storage of your settings see
.

Houston stores your data, such as provider accounts, in text files in a 'houston' subdirectory of your default configuration directory. On Ubuntu this is
~/.config/houston/
. If you would like to share this data between computers, the easiest approach is to share this folder with Ubuntu One. Navigate to this directory with your file browser, right-click the folder and enable "Ubuntu One > Synchronize this folder". Note however that your accounts' passwords are not encrypted.
