cyclist is a command line utility for converting the .mxb binary format for Max/MSP patches into the .mxt/.pat text format. It is part of the Cyclone library for Pure Data, which aims to bring some level of compatibility between the Max/MSP and Pd environments. Although being itself in the early stage of development, it is meant to eventually become part of a much larger project, aiming at unification and standardization of computer musician's tools.

Cyclist est un utilitaire en ligne de commande pour convertir le format binaire .mxb des «[nbsp]patch[nbsp]» Max/MSP vers le format texte .mxt ou .pat. Il constitue une partie de la bibliothèque Cyclone pour Pure[nbsp]Data, dont le but est d’apporter un certain niveau de compatibilité entre les environnements Max/MSP et Pd. Bien qu’étant au premier stade de son développement, il est destiné à devenir une partie d’un plus grand projet visant l’unification et la standardisation d’outils pour les musiciens avec ordinateur.
